The Troupe Graces the Chattanooga Zoo
The Troupe sculpture graces the new entrance plaza of the Chattanooga Downtown Zoo, by Sculpture artist Bart Walter's. The bronze sculpture consists of eight chimpanzees in six sculptures, which are amazing.
The sculpture used much detail rendering a life like sculpture; Bart has studied chimpanzees in the wild and at Zoo’s all across the world. Bart has entrusted Chattanooga with a work of ART. The Zoo is one of three sites in Chattanooga selected for installation of public art by the Hunter Museum.
Chattanooga received a $1.2 million grant from the Benwood Foundation that allowed the Hunter Museum to place the sculptures at the Zoo. The unveiling was September 25, 2009.
